My name is Rochelle, and I am writing this with a broken heart for my sister Charmaine.
My sister is a disabled single mother, and she survived something no woman should ever have to endure. Her ex-husband, the man who was supposed to protect her, set their house on fire with her inside. Charmaine almost died that day. Her little son, Amari, almost lost his mother forever. By the grace of God, she survived, but her life was never the same again.
The fire left her body covered in scars, constant pain, and weakness. She now has only 20% vision in one eye, and every movement, every attempt to care for her son, reminds her of the brutality of what was done to her. I see her looking in the mirror and feeling ashamed of her own face. I see her trying to be strong for Amari, but I know that inside she is broken.
Now we are living in extreme poverty. My sister can no longer work like before. Her body is damaged, her health is fragile, and every day is a battle just to survive. Amari, who is only 2 years old, does not understand why his mommy cries in silence or why there is sometimes not enough food. They depend on my help, but I cannot carry everything alone.

This is not just poverty. This is a cruel injustice. A man destroyed my sister's life, burned her body, and now she is left fighting alone to survive and raise her son.
We are also fighting for justice. We are seeking help to hold him accountable for what he did, but the process is long, expensive, and emotionally exhausting. While we fight for justice, we are also struggling to survive day by day.
We urgently need help with diapers, food, water, clothes, building materials for a safe roof, medical care, and everything my sister and my nephew need to keep going.

Please, if God touches your heart, help us. Any donation, no matter how small, can give my sister and Amari a chance to rebuild their lives.
If you cannot donate, please share her story and leave a prayer for them. My sister survived the fire, but now she needs help to survive what came after. ππ
